The 2023 Glass Alumni Exhibition highlights the work of College for Creative Studies graduates and faculty working in glass. This exhibition spans multiple generations of CCS alumni and showcases a wide breadth of glassworking processes. The exhibition will take place on campus at Center Galleries, concurrent with the Glass Art Society Conference.

Stop Making Sense

Stop Making Sense: Expanded Practices in Contemporary Craft gathers outstanding examples of crafted objects created by artists in the Detroit and metro area. Organized by Kim Harty, Chair of Craft & Material Studies at the College for Creative Studies, this exhibition is the first to closely examine contemporary craft in Detroit.

C&MS Open Studios

Fri, April 8, 2022 from 5-8pm

The CRAFT & MATERIAL STUDIES department will be opening its studios to the public on Friday, April 8th. Visitors can explore works in progress and students will be present to talk about their creative process, share their work, and answer questions. Glass students will be doing demonstrations in the glass studio, and you can also experience an immersive public artwork by Yazmin Dababneh.

Tiff Massey, Woodward Lecture
